#YesBank #TransformationSeries2017. The Internet can be a powerful tool, and the convenience it offers to manage business and recreation is invaluable. But theft and fraud are damaging the positive reputation of the Internet as a medium for business. Consumers are losing confidence in their own safety on the Internet. Therefore awareness and alertness is necessary to curb cyber crime.

#TransformationSeries2017YesBank. Ignorance and dependency of customers on service provider(Banks) causes weekness of entire technology system. The latest cyber attacks like ransomware creates perplexity due to non preparedness of service providers and customers(a mock drill is needed in this regard just like a drill before the arrival of a VVIP in city). For instance, if a person receive a mail/call/sms/pop-up message from unknown sender asking about bank related and personal information, then he has to be non aligned towards that but normally we response positively to that and consequently we lost our money. So need of the hour is #awareness, #preparedness #alertness.

#jbims #Hacks I won't attribute technological progress as a reason to cybercrime. Should we then stop the advancements? No. We know higher the risk, higher the returns. We must find ways to plug the technological loopholes and vulnerabilities that can be easily exploited. For this stringent and comprehensive cyber laws are the need of the hour. Regular reviews, process improvement and standard protocols at international level will help create a more secure cyber world. Public awareness is the other key to this problem. Let's hope to move ahead in technological advancements , which is surely making better world for us.

The majority of these corporate security breaches occur when hackers exploit employees through social engineering and scams. With advancements in technology, hackers are becoming more skilled at finding holes and cracks in corporate security systems and can gain access to protected files and data, posing a significant cyber security threat. Unfortunately, 2012 may be a record year for corporate security breaches.

Currenly with increasing smartphone market, people r becoming more technologically savvy and need to be educated as technology develops. Proper training should be employed so that the company’s workforce understands the cybersecurity threats, and how to avoid them. Employees can use this knowledge to grasp information from their employers from databases, company-shared servers.

Yes advancement of technology is the mother of cyber crime .Today hackers use malware to directly attack our computers to find out data.It consists of viruses, trojan horses & computer worms. today companies worldwide are increasingly using cloud computing, not only it saves time but also money & resources . The process involves storing important data and at times very confidential but very easy for hackers to gain information through the very process of cloud computing . Safety rules are We always visit only trusted websites, learn the art of identifying email spams & never click on suspicious links.

As technology is progressing towards the peak , the advancement in the system is also rapidly increasing. It's a myth that increase in technology led to increase in cybercrimes

Along with the positive side of technology, we cannot neglect the negative side of it. Let me tell you about Bitcoin, which is extremely vulnerable to cyber-attack because of the anonymity. The only record of transactions is an online ledger created through blockchain technology, which is anonymous and can be manipulated in a secure way without taking help from any third party, unlike a bank's ledger, which is connected to a centralised network. The hackers may take your money and leave without releasing the encrypted files. It will be difficult to bring them to justice as there is no mechanism to track them down through their Bitcoin transactions. Ergo, as the technology develops, the world will face security challenges because of cyber-crimes.#JBIMS#hack

However, it isn't long before a group of attention seeking hackers take over again and complete the loop. Hence, instead of baning our saviour, let's put to blame the lack of education and the unstable outreach of digitization. #JBIMS #HACK

Ransomware-like attacks will become more prevalent with the integration of internet of things (IoT) and smart sensors into our daily lives. With future of driver-less cars not far away, it is vulnerable to cyberattacks. Robots could be used as suicide bombers then. Also with the computer guided missiles now part of every army's artillery, cybercrimes have an immense potential to cause serious damage to civilians. Thus as the cyber attacks increase, the need to deal with them has given rise to many organisations dedicated to work on bringing in new technologies to track such crimes and prevent them.

The ever-evolving digital age affects cyber security more than most people realize. The rate of cybercrimes has grown exponentially and is consistent with the growth of technology. As technology expands and develops, so do the cybercrimes that are committed. Fortunately, as technology has advanced, so has the ability to seek out cybercrimes before they happen and protect people when they occur. Few cyber security attacks affected by the advancement in the technologies: corporate security breaches, social media security breaches, data viral in digital, hacktivism etc. #JBIMS #Hack

Over the span of years we have seen a dramatic rise in technological changes and this is only going to get bigger. However, as they say every side has two coins. While it has no doubt, led to prodigious improvement in our lives it has also led to a rise in cyber crimes. They are becoming more and more massive and stronger and posing a dangerous threat to people, various organizations, and companies. There is an alarming increase in the rate of crimes some of which are very serious, the recent ransomware attack being one of it. #JBIMS #Hack

Advancement in technology has definitely saved us a lot of time and efforts by simplifying crucial and complex tasks. Be it making payments or buying goods, everything is available at the touch of the finger. But we should also acknowledge that there is always a scope for security breach leading to increasing number of cyber crimes like 'ransomware' virus.Technology is definitely a boon provided we use it to simplify our lives.

Advancement in technology has made our lives a whole lot easier but it has also led to increase in the number of cybercrimes. Governments are gathering data from its citizens for national security purposes. Even organisations are gathering data of their customers to find out about the behaviourial statistics of customers. This data helps organisations to pan out strategies for customer satisfaction. Many hackers around the world are looking after this data to trade or to use for disrupting governments or organisations for mostly monetary benefits. #JBIMS #Hack

The technology will continue advancing no matter which generation it is. Cybercrime have increased mostly due money transaction online. Crime doesn't exist because of technology and its advancement but due to unethical mentality of some people. So blaming technology advancement for increase in cybercrime is an excuse. Cyber security services are present which keep a keen eye for preventing such criminal events. So yes technology does have impact on it but ethical awareness and developing ethical hackers would really help in lowering cybercrime events.

Since every coin has two sides , technology, an invention of mankind has got a darker side to it. Hackers poach social media users and they fall prey to the cyber crime web. This is similar to the snowball effect where advancement in technology does not stop and cyber crime cases stay on the rise. #JBIMS#hack

According to me yes it Led to increase the Cybercrime as there is no doubt that societal behaviour is being shaped by our activities in cyberspace and the future of technology communication across continental and languages. Advancement of technology is uncertain. All we can know that today's tablets, ipads, clouds will be suppressed by the next generation of technology. But all advancements can bring new challenges and is important that we are all companies, organisations and individuals must be ready to take n manage the risk.

The advancement in technology has led to increase in cyber crimes. The latest incident was one with Game of Thrones season 7 episode 6 getting leaked. There are numerous instances of use of social media accounts to defame a person's image and also to disrupt peace and order. The advancement in technology has also led to many hackers able to get into thought process of an individual and then transport it to the vendor. For ex. People looking for T-shirts will automatically get advertisements on Facebook.

Advancement in technology does lead a human to live happily, gave access to unlimited information but also increased the threat of losing sensitive information because of advanced hacking tech and underdeveloped security systems protecting the data. Day by day the attacks are increasing as well as new security measures are implemented but there is no guarantee that any one of the security systems or hackers would win because it is an ongoing endless battle between security systems and cyber criminals started since redevelopment in technology and sharing of data became easier and faster.

I would say advancement in technology is not directly proportional to cyber crime. Cyber Crime rate has not increased as much as the positive effects of technology has been to the society.

With the introduction of anything new, advancements in any form of life there will be ways and means of being able to do good and bad; so it may not have led to a direct increase in cyber crime but has definitely opened up more avenues instead in cyberspace rather than off.

An advancement in technology has nothing to do with cybercrime. While some of them might require advance tools to break through firewall of organizations, many of them such as phishing, money laundering, terrorism have been there from the onset of internet. While we could correlate the growth of internet and increase in cybercrimes positively, lot of cybercrimes go unreported so it might paint a false picture.

CyberSecurity can seen as a battle between the good and the bad. CyberCrime is often committed by exploiting a bug in the system. With an increase in technical advancement the number of bugs that exist in a given system can also be greatly decreased. On the other hand technology can also be used to automatically find and exploit bugs in a system. I feel that the battle is quite fair and at present neither sides have any huge advantages. But for a larger horizon guess the number of CyberCrimes would actually decrease in terms of the frequency of attacks.

#IIMA #HACK #NaMo Crime is high. Many anti Indians are posting against Modi ji in internet. They are saying that demonetisation is bad. They say that Modi ji is not bringing black money. Those people who oppose Sangh Parivar must be thrown in jail. No cyber crime in Hindustan.

#IIMTrichy #Hack Crimes such as cracking/hacking, unwarranted mass-surveillance have existed even before advancement in Technology, but with actual ground work as opposed to work that involves a computer connected to the network. With advancement in technology, these crimes are nowadays involving computer and technology - hence it gets labelled as cyber crime. Though it seems like the cybercrime has increased a lot, it is actually just a manifestation of penetration of technology. As the statistics indicate, we are living in era with lowest crime-rate of all-time. To sum-up, Advancement in Technology did not lead to increase in cybercrime.

Indeed! Over the years, our world has changed due to dramatic rise in technologies and change is still going on. But, every coin has two two sides. While it has no doubt, led to a rise in the scientific knowledge it has also led to a rise in cyber crimes. They are becoming more massive and stronger and posing a dangerous threat to people, various organizations, and companies. Some of the examples of how technology has led to breaching of cyber security are Social Media Breaches, Digitization, Malware, Spammers etc. Awareness and education is required! #SCMHRD #HACK

Advancement in technology is analogous to advancements in digital transparency. As technology evolves our inhibitions toward letting strangers in is devolving. So, it's not just the advancement in technology that is responsible for increase in cybercrime, its more importantly our increased willingness to display our private lives on the internet. #SCMHRD#HACK

In recent times, technology has seen insane growth resulting in developing various innovative tools. For ex:- cloud is one of those platform where data is claimed to be more secured and accessible. But storing data in cloud bring with its coherent risks. A phenomenon:- "Multi-tenants" may happen where breach of data of one organization may lead to hacking of others. As artificial intelligence becomes the norm, it is also bringing incentives for cyber hackers because they can target large scale hack with minimal effort. Thus it is imperative to have adequate proper security measure to negate this threat. #IIML#HACK

Ability to fight against all odds drives advancement. Odds like cybercrime exists, advancement exists. Cybercrime is something like people are looking for chances from ur girlfriend. Then advancement might be you start going to gym and get ripped. Then People stops looking at your girlfriend when you are with her. Again you get some friends in gym. They starts looking at your girl friend. Well in that case you may think about earning some more money. Oneday you marry her, people stops looking for chances. You stop going to gym and all. Cybercrime is one of the reasons , advancement exists.

With advancement of technology, cyber crimes have also increased. One the one hand, we see sexual harassment being committed on fb and on the other we see banking frauds happening at a much rapid pace that the time when banking was more physical and paper based. Technology has been a great enabler but the power it provides is beyond control and needs to be handled with care for a constructive, meaningful and safe future.
